Zusammenfassung: | The method of producing non-ionic polyethylene emulsion with high sheen and good performance characteristics out of polyethylene wax. The wax is melted with emulgent substances - ethoxylated fatty alcohols and ethoxylated alkylphenols - and silicone oil can possibly be added. While mixing it at the temperature of 120 degrees Celsius, the wax is neutralised with a 10 percent solution of sodium hydroxide. Then, demineralised water is introduced in a manner which ensures, that the temperature does not drop below 100 degrees Celsius during water proportioning. The obtained mixture is homogenized by heating under pressure up to the temperature of 110-140 degrees Celsius, preferably 130-140 degrees Celsius, for 30-120 minutes. Then, it is cooled down. It is characterised in that 200-300 parts by mass of polyethylene wax with the acid number of 8-20, preferably 10-16 mg KOH/g, is melted with 20-40 parts by mass of fatty alcohol ethoxylated with 18 moles with ethylene oxide and 15-30 parts by mass of alkylphenol ethoxylated with 3 moles of ethylene oxide. Then, 0-10 parts by mass of silicone oil are added. Then, 390-590 parts by mass of demineralised water are added. The resultant mixture is homogenised and cooled down to the temperature of 50-60 degrees Celsius. 30-300 parts by mass of acrylic-styrene dispersion and/or 30-300 parts by mass of butadiene-styrene latex, 0-10 pats by mass of quaternary alkyl-ammonium salt and 2-10 parts by mass of dihydric alcohol. |
