Zusammenfassung: | Granulating mineral fertilizers containing ammonium sulfate comprises mixing a fine ammonium sulfate with a finely-grained inorganic and/or organic additives containing hydroxyl/carboxyl groups; moistening the fine-grained additive coated ammonium sulfate with a fine nozzle-sprayed water; compression molding and compacting the pre-treated ammonium sulfate in a flat die pellet press and pellet strands with a smooth and compact cylindrical surface; drying and hardening the pellet to give a solid pellet composite; and breaking the hardened cylindrical pellet strands to a desired pellet length. Granulation of mineral fertilizers containing or enriched with ammonium sulfate comprises mixing a fine ammonium sulfate with a finely-grained inorganic and/or organic additives containing hydroxyl or carboxyl groups, are hygroscopic in the primary finely-grained state and act as a lubricant after controlled moistening, using a mixer with high turbulence; moistening the fine-grained additive coated ammonium sulfate with a fine nozzle-sprayed water using a mixer with high turbulence, such that the additives are transformed to a partially pasty state with lubricant properties; compression molding and compacting the pre-treated ammonium sulfate in a flat die pellet press and pellet strands with a smooth and compact cylindrical surface; drying the obtained pellet and hardening by a cold ventilation process or by drying at = 75[deg]C to give a solid pellet composite; and breaking the hardened cylindrical pellet strands to a desired pellet length. |
