Zusammenfassung:	The method of assessing the efficiency of formation slackening in the vicinity of mining headings consists in the use of the active seismoacoustic method. Unique characteristics: Measurements are carried out in the examined mining heading by the seismoacoustic method. The level of crump hazard is determined on the basis of the measurement results. The efficiency of formation slackening is considered to be inversely proportional to the crump hazard. Inefficient slackening is considered to correspond to the extremely high crump hazard, while high slackening efficiency is considered to correspond to zero crump hazard.
