Process for producing mixture of alkylbenzenesulfonic acid sodium salt and saturated fatty alcohol sodium sulphate salt in a process involving sulfonating and sulfating an organic material with sulphur trioxide, using pipe reactor with material film settling down and subsequent neutralisation of the sulfonating and sulfating product with soda lye, characterised in that the sulfonating and sulfating with mixture of SO3 with air containing 3-6% by volume of sulphur trioxide, reacts with mixture containing 40-90% by weight of alkylbenzene and 10-60% by weight of saturated fatty alcohols.
