Zusammenfassung:	The plate-type heat exchanger may be used for rising film evaporation of liquid. It typically has three corrugated sheets of metal fastened together to make three sets of channel. The heat exchanger may be divided bottom (4a), middle (4b) and top (4c) regions. The liquid rising up and evaporating in the vertical channels is admitted at the bottom (1a-d) and the vapor is admitted to large offtakes (2a,b) at the top. The heating fluid is admitted through side passages (3a) at the top and flows downward through parallel channels and leaves the heat exchanger through side passages (3d) at the bottom.
