Zusammenfassung:	An abaca decorticator machine is a piece of heavy machinery designed to strip the outer layers of material from abaca.The decortication process involves repeated beating of the tuxies by hand, or in some instances the entire trunk is beaten in order to expose the fibers. To remove the sap the fibers are simultaneously washed in a constant supply of water as the beating occurs along the entire length of the trunk. The fibers produced by this process have a dull appearance in contrast to the fibers produced by stripping. In addition, both the pulp and sap are carried away by the wash water.The abaca decorticating machine aims to improve the existing efficiency, quality of fiber it produces and help the small scale farmers in producing abaca fiber for betterment of the industry. Through the use of the decorticator machine, extraction process of the fiber will be far more efficient and less work for the farmers.
