VEHICLE ASSEMBLY LINE

Provided is a conveying device of a vehicle assembly line, the conveying device comprising: a movable base; a turntable that is provided on an upper surface of the base and has a circular shape in plan view; and a support part that is provided on the turntable and supports a vehicle body by contacting a lower part thereof. The base has a rotation mechanism part that causes the turntable to rotate around a central axis that extends in a direction that is perpendicular to an upper surface of the turntable. The support part is equipped with: a pair of support columns that are provided so as to be separated from each other in a diameter direction of the upper surface of the turntable and are fixed onto the turntable; beam parts that are provided on upper ends of the support columns so as to extend in a horizontal direction; and receiving parts that are provided at both ends of each beam part. The support part supports a vehicle body in a state where the beam parts are oriented in a front-back direction of the vehicle body. The assembly line includes a first work area in which work is carried out in a state where the vehicle body is aligned with a line advancing direction, and a second work area in which the turntable is rotated from the position of the turntable in the first work area so that component assembly work is performed in a state where a front-back direction of the vehicle body extends in a direction that intersects the line advancing direction.
