Provided is a washing machine comprising: a main body; a water tank; and a washing and dehydration water tank enclosed rotatably in the water tank. The washing machine according to the present invention further comprises: an upper frame body (25) that is attached to an upper section of the main body and has a garment inlet (26) at the center thereof through which laundry can be taken in and out; and a lid body (27) that is attached turnably to the upper frame body (25) and covers the garment inlet (26) in an openable/closable manner. The lid body (27) has an upper lid frame body (27a) and a lower lid frame body (27b) that is disposed in a lower periphery of the upper lid frame body (27a) and has a concave shape when viewed in longitudinal section. An upper surface (25b) of the upper frame body (25) is inclined downward toward the garment inlet (26). Furthermore, left and right bottom surfaces of the lower lid frame body (27b) are inclined downward toward the inside. In addition, a predetermined gap is provided between an upper surface (25a) of the upper frame body (25) and a bottom surface (36) of the lid body (27).
