Visual inspection, chemical analysis (leaf and petiole analysis), reflection or transmission of light, and image processing techniques are the major classifications of methods used for the purpose of evaluation of plants' health conditions. This invention is an embodiment of specialized light constricting enclosure housing an optical imaging device for the acquisition of digital foliar image for the purpose of post-processing. This image is preprocessed to render suitable for image analysis. A foliar specimen is disposed in a specimen platform through an opening on the front-side of the specialized enclosure. |
