Zusammenfassung:	A mounting assembly (600) for waste disposers such as food waste disposers. The mounting assembly includes a first engagement structure (602) located on the body flange (604) and a second engagement structure (606) located on the upper portion of the disposer body (610). In the engaged position, the body flange and the disposer body are engaged, preventing rotation of the body flange (604) relative to the disposer body (610). The combined disposer and body flange can be lifted into alignment with a mounting flange under a sink and rotated to engage the body flange (604) with the mounting flange. The body flange (604) can then be disengaged from the disposer (610) to further rotate the body flange (604) about the mounting flange to complete mounting of the waste disposer.
