Zusammenfassung: | Prior art patient interfaces suffer from being one or more of obtrusive, aesthetically undesirable, costly, poorly fitting, difficult to use, and uncomfortable especially when worn for long periods of time or when a patient is unfamiliar with a system. Herein disclosed is a patient interface for delivery of a flow of air to a patient, the patient interface comprising a plenum chamber configured to receive the flow of air; a prong for delivering the flow of air from the plenum chamber into a naris of the patient; a frame coupled to the plenum chamber, the frame adapted to engage a head of the patient in use for locating the plenum chamber with respect to the naris of the patient, wherein the frame includes a front brace; and a connecting means to locate and/or secure the plenum chamber to the frame whilst allowing a central portion of the plenum chamber to deform; wherein the plenum chamber is rotatable relative to the frame; and wherein the patient interface is constructed and/or arranged to allow the central portion of the plenum chamber to in-use be deformed as a result of contact with the patient's face; and wherein the plenum chamber is parallel to the front brace. |
