Zusammenfassung: | A patient interface assembly (10) for therapy of a patient having a breathing disorder. The assembly includes a frame (20) with a central aperture by which a flow of pressurized breathable gas is introduced in use, a cushion supported by the frame, a hose (310) to deliver the flow of pressurized breathable gas to the central aperture of the frame, an intermediate snap-action connection piece between the hose and the frame, and a headgear assembly (80). The headgear assembly includes a pair of flexible front strap portions (84) constructed of a front fabric material and a pair of flexible rear strap portions (138) constructed of a rear fabric material. Each of the rear strap portions includes a rear strap end. The front fabric material of the front strap portions includes stiffening support structure (yoke 92) having a pair connector elements each having a slot to receive a respective one of the rear strap ends in a length adjustable manner. The stiffening support structure is formed of a relatively rigid material compared to the front fabric material, the stiffening support structure having a degree of flexibility in one direction such that variations in patient physiology can be accommodated in use, the stiffening support structure being stiffer in another direction generally orthogonal to the one direction to resist vertical rotation of the patient interface assembly due to weight or hose drag. The stiffening support structure projects rearwardly relative to each lateral side of the frame and has a curved shape configured to rest against the patient's cheeks and below the patient's eye in use. The front strap portions are at least partly coextensive with the stiffening support structure to form a layered structure, with the front strap portions being positioned between the stiffening support structure and the patient's skin when worn. The patient interface assembly is not provided with a chin strap. The patient interface assembly is not provided with a forehead support. |
