Zusammenfassung:	Provided herein are methods of producing compositions comprising eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and polar lipids (e.g., glycolipids and phospholipids), and which do not contain any docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) or esterified fatty acids. The method involves extracting lipids from an algal paste comprising Nannochloropsis cells, removing the water-soluble components to yield a crude algal oil, extracting the free fatty acids with supercritical CO2 and isolating the fractions, and combining the concentrated EPA free fatty acid fraction with the polar lipid fraction.
