Zusammenfassung:A system for generating neutrons comprising an ion source configured to generate an ion beam 202, a magnet system 204 configured to deflect the ion beam 202 by a first angle from the center of the ion beam 202, a rotating neutron source 208 disposed at the first angle from the center of the ion beam 202 and configured to receive the ion beam 202 and generate a neutron flux , a first rotating beam dump 214 configured to receive a first plurality of ions from the ion beam 202, and a second rotating beam dump 215 disposed at a second angle from the center of the ion beam 202 and configured to receive a second plurality of ions from the ion beam, where the second angle is larger than the first angle. The combination of the two beam dumps and the magnet assembly provides an ion beam filter, and a smaller, safer and more reliable ion beam.
