Zusammenfassung: | The present disclosure relates to improving dryer efficiency and reliability. Disclosed herein is a dryer provided with a second outlet of a regeneration zone (5) that is connected to a first inlet of a drying zone (3) by means of a connecting pipe (13) with a cooler (15) and condensate separator therein. A first end of a tap-off pipe (17) is connected to a first outlet of the drying zone (3) and its other end is connected to a second inlet of a second subzone (7). The dryer is configured such that the entire flow rate of gas to be dried is first guided through the regeneration zone (5) before being guided through the drying zone (3). Means is provided to boost a second regeneration flow from the drying zone (3), through the tap-off pipe (17), to the second subzone (7). This means comprises a blower (19) in the connecting pipe (13). The blower is equipped with controllable drive means that is connected to a control system to which one or more sensors are connected for determining the pressure difference between a first outlet zone of the drying zone (3), on the one hand, and a second outlet zone of the regeneration zone (5), on the other hand. The control system is provided with an algorithm that changes the speed of the drive means on the basis of the pressure difference. |
