An exemplified prodrug is O-{ [(3S)-3-Amino-4-({ (2R)-1-amino-3-[(2,5-dioxo-1-{ 3-oxo-3-[(2-{ w-methoxy-poly-oxyethylen[40kDa]} ethyl)amino]propyl} pyrrolidin-3-yl)sulfanyl]-1-oxopropan-2-yl} amino )-4-oxobutyl] carbamoyl} -L-tyrosyl-adrenomedullin(2-52). Further provided are processes for the preparation of the prodrug, medicaments containing a prodrug of formula (I), and its use in the treatment of cardiovascular, edematous and/or inflammatory disorders.
