Zusammenfassung: | For convenience, beverage containers such as bottles are often transported in cartons. Existing cartons range in material and configuration, and often offer minimal or complex protection to the beverage containers. The present invention addresses this issue by providing cartons with article protection flaps and inserts which are relatively simpler to assemble and which offer better means of protecting the beverage containers. In this respect the present invention provides a carton for containing a plurality of articles, the carton comprising: a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton, the plurality of panels comprising a bottom panel, a top panel, and a side panel; and at least two end flaps respectively foldably attached to respective panels of the plurality of panels, wherein the at least two end flaps at least partially form an at least partially closed end of the carton, the at least two end flaps comprising a first end flap foldably connected to at least one panel of the plurality of panels at a first fold line and a second end flap foldably connected to the at least one panel at a second fold line, wherein the second fold line is oblique relative to the first fold line, the second end flap comprises an outer portion foldably connected to a base portion along a longitudinal fold line, the base portion comprises a first section foldably connected to a second section along an oblique fold line, the first section at least partially overlapping the second section, the base portion being foldably connected to the at least one panel along the second fold line, the first end flap at least partially overlaps the outer portion of the second end flap. The configuration of the present invention with the protection flaps and insert allows for a more efficient assembly process, and provides relatively better protection to beverage containers held in the carton. |
