Zusammenfassung: | 606498 Disclosed is a reconfigurable load-control receiver (110), associated with a facility (108), that can serve as a gateway between a first long-haul network (104) and a short-haul network (106) or as a node in the short-haul network (106). The short-haul network (106) is associated with the facility (108) and also with an electrical load (116) controllable by the load-control receiver (110). The reconfigurable load-control receiver (110) includes means for initially operating as a gateway by connecting the short-haul network (106) associated to a first long-haul network (104). The load-control receiver (110) is intermediate another device (112) associated with the facility (108) and the electrical load (116). The load-control receiver (110) also includes means for operating as a node in the short-haul network (104) by connecting the other device (112) associated with the facility (108) between the short-haul network (106) and a second long-haul network (105) to serve as a gateway. The load-control receiver (110) also includes means for switching by reconfiguring between operating as the gateway connecting the short-haul network (106) associated with the facility (108) to the first long-haul network (104) and operating as the node in the short-haul network (106) while another device associated with the facility (108) serves as the gateway to connect the short-haul network (106) to the second long-haul network (105). The load-control receiver (110) further includes means for controlling power delivered to the electrical load (116) by responding to a load-control message received over the first long-haul network (104) or the second long-haul network (105) and the short-haul network (106). |
