Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed herein is a thiohydantoin compound of formula (I) wherein the variables are defined in the specification, a method for the preparation thereof involving the reaction of an isothiocyanate intermediate with a nitrile intermediate which is then hydrolysed to yield a compound of formula (I) and optionally reacted with the corresponding solvents and/or bases or acids to the solvates, salts and/or solvates of the salts thereof, for use in the treatment of a prostate cancer. Exemplary compounds include: 4-(3-{ [6-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)pyridin-3-yl]methyl} -4,4-dimethyl-5-oxo-2-thioxoimidazolidin-1-yl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile; 4-(4,4-dimethyl-3-{ [ 6-(2-methylmorpholin-4-yl)pyridin-3 -yl] methyl} -5-oxo-2-thioxoimidazolidin-l-yl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile; and 4-(3-{ [6-(2-methoxyethoxy)pyridin-3 -yl]methyl} -4,4-dimethyl-5-oxo-2-thioxoimidazolidin-1-yl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile.
