Zusammenfassung:	589919 A nail which includes a head, a penetrating tip, a shank extending from the head to the penetrating tip and a plurality of rows of deformations on the shank extending outwardly of the shank. The rows of deformations are formed in a spiral pattern along a substantial portion of the length of the shank from the head to the penetrating tip. The rows of deformations are formed parallel to one another at an angle of at least 50 degrees as measured along a lead angle defined at a base of the deformation and the shank relative to a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the nail. The deformations in each row are contiguous with adjacent deformations in the same row. Each of the deformations defines a cross-sectional footprint shape where a base of the deformation meets the shank. The footprint shape includes a portion that is tapered along the path of the spiral in a direction of the penetrating tip.
