Zusammenfassung:	A seal (10) for preventing bypass of solids from a filter screen assembly is disclosed. The seal (10) includes an L-shaped bracket (46) and a housing that includes a channel-shaped member (34). A first panel of the L-shaped bracket (46) is inserted into a groove (26) of a belt of a filter screen assembly so as to fill that groove (26). The belt is received into a channel recess of the channel member (34) of the housing. A second panel of the L-shaped bracket (46) is fastened to side wall of the channel-shaped member (32). By securing the L-shaped bracket (46) to the channel-shaped member (32) of the housing, a track is formed for slidably engaging the belt during rotational movement. The belt's contact with the first panel of the L-shaped bracket (46) inserted into the belt's groove (26) forms a tight continuous seal.
