Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed is a process of making a compressed tablet having 20 to 360 mg of valsartan in free form as the only active agent, which amounts to 20 to 65% by weight of valsartan; 31 to 65% by weight of microcrystalline cellulose; and optionally crospovidone (wherein the weight ratio of microcrystalline cellulose to crospovidone is from 7:1 to 1:1); based on the total weight of the core components of said compressed tablet, wherein said process comprises the steps of i) grinding the active agent and pharmaceutically acceptable additives; ii) subjecting a mixture of the ground active agent and additives to compression to form a comprimate; iii) converting the comprimate to form a granulate; and iv) compressing the granulate to form the compressed tablet. |
