Anthelmintic composition comprising milbemycin, triclabendazole and a non-surfactant rheology modifier

Disclosed is an anthelmintic oral drench composition comprising a milbemycin in combination with triclabendazole, and a non-surfactant rheology modifier (such as a polysaccharide rheology modifier, a synthetic sodium silicate composition, hydrous sodium lithium magnesium silicate modified with tetra sodium pyrophosphate or xanthan gum). Also disclosed is a veterinary oral drench composition comprising: 0.01-5% w/v of a milbemycin; sufficient amounts of one or more organic solvents and one or more surfactants to enable the dissolution of the milbemycin; 1-10% w/v triclabendazole; 0.1-2% w/v of a non-surfactant rheology modifier; 40-80% water; and optionally, solvents, surfactants, buffering agents, and preservatives. Further disclosed is a method of treating a non-human mammal comprising providing an efficacious dose of an anthelmintic composition as defined above for the treatment or prevention of roundworms and liver flukes.
