Broccoli type adapted for ease of harvest

Provided is a part of a broccoli plant cultivar, wherein said cultivar comprises a harvestable head weight of at least about 200 grams when planted at a density of 40,000 plants per hectare, wherein said cultivar produces no leaves or petioles each having a surface area each greater than about 30 square centimeters within 5 25 centimeters of the crown, and wherein the foregoing traits have been introduced by plant breeding, wherein said part is not a seed or a severed broccoli head. Deposits of the cultivar are at the NCIMB under accession No. 41214, 41215, 41216, 41217, 41218, or 41219.
