Zusammenfassung: | A piezoelectric motor (1) comprises a rotor (3) and a stator (2) including a piezoelectric material having axial polarization. At least three pairs of electrodes (5, 6) are spaced from one another on a top end face of the stator and a common electrode on a base end face (9). Slabs (4) are affixed to the stator at spacings between the electrodes (5, 6) with the rotor (3) pressed towards the slabs (4) by a pre-load force. When a positive charge is applied to a first of the electrodes (5, 6), a negative charge is applied to a second of the electrodes (5, 6) and an electric common port is applied to the common electrode a D33 piezoelectric phenomenon is created. The piezoelectric phenomenon causes the spacings between the electrodes to bend and the slabs (4) to tilt, thus applying a frictional side force against the rotor (3) causing it to rotate. |
