Zusammenfassung:	A composite strip (10) is disclosed that is windable to form a helical pipe for transporting a fluid. The composite strip (10) comprises an elongate plastic strip with a base portion (12), the base portion (12) has a lower side (14) defining an inner face and an upper side (15) defining an outer face. The inner face (14) has a substantially flat transverse cross-section. At least one lengthwise extending rib portion (20) is upstanding from the outer face (15) of the base portion (12) and an elongate inboard reinforcing member (30) is disposed within or adjacent to the base portion. The rib portion (20) has a distal end remote from the base portion (12) and an elongate outboard reinforcing member (40) is disposed within the distal end parallel to the inboard reinforcing member (30). An elongate intermediate plastic web portion (23) extends between the inboard and outboard reinforcing members (30, 40). The web portion (23) together with the inboard and outboard reinforcing members (30, 40) form a composite rib portion such that when wound into a helical pipe the composite rib portion reinforces the pipe against radial crushing loads.
