A four sided container characterised by arcuate elongated troughs on a pair of opposed side walls

A four sided plastic food container which may be used for the containment and convenient dispensing of foods is disclosed. The container (whose cross-section is shown in the drawing) contains a mouth, two pairs of opposed side walls (4, 5 and 6, 7) and a base wall. One of the pairs of side walls (6, 7) have two elongate troughs formed in each side wall. The elongate troughs extend towards the interior region of the container and the elongate direction extends between the mouth and the base wall of the container. The elongate troughs have a constant arcuate profile. The elongate troughs are intended to provide a resistance to buckling of the pair of side walls (6, 7) having them, while these side walls (6, 7) are under external pressure. When the pair of side walls (4, 5) is pressed by the user's finger, the external pressure will compact the pair of side walls (6, 7) thereby dispensing the food item stored inside the container. This eliminates the need for any further implements or utensils to dispense food item from the container.
