Zusammenfassung:A treatment device for the treatment of the human or animal skin by laser radiation to prevent or reduce hair growth or effect hair removal includes a laser radiation source 10 for emitting a laser radiation beam and a beam deflector for deflecting the radiation beam across the skin. The beam deflector includes a refractor 14 (a lens) which is moved by a drive 18, 20 in at least two orthogonal directions so as to scan the beam across the skin in the treatment area. The operation of the drive is controlled by a controller 26 to effect a pre-programmed movement of the deflecting lens 14.
