Zusammenfassung:	A joint compound container is disclosed and which includes a trough shaped body and a reinforcing band that forms a scraping edge. The body is formed from two opposing end walls affixed to the body and two planar sidewalls separated from one another by a planar floor. Each of the sidewalls shares a respective common radiussed edge with the floor. The reinforcing band is attached to the exterior of the body as a separate component and is configured to reinforce each of the sidewalls and the end walls. The band is displaced from the upper edge of the joint compound container by a distance, which is sufficient to define a scraping edge.
