Zusammenfassung:A multi-layer tobacco slab (20) made of shredded tobacco is disclosed. There at least two layers, one made from shredded tobacco (10) and the other (12 or 14) from a smokable material other than shredded tobacco. The tobacco layer (10) is substantially uniform in composition and distribution of the shredded tobacco. The multi-layer tobacco slab (20) may have two outer layers (12, 14) from a smokable material other than shredded tobacco. A method is also disclosed where the shredded tobacco and other smokable material are placed in a mould and then presses to a pre-defined pressure.
