Laminated wood product

A wood board having a length, a width, a thickness and two main sides, the length being the longest dimension, the width being less than the length, and the thickness being less than the width, the length being many times longer than the width, and the main sides each spanning the width and the length. At least one the main side has a profile, the profile comprising at least one clearly visible portion and at least one of an obscured portion or a concealed portion when in use. The board is formed from at least two laminations, the laminations each having a lamination-length, a lamination-width and a lamination thickness, the lamination-length being many times longer than the lamination-width and the lamination-thickness, the lamination-width defining the board thickness, and the lamination-thickness forming a portion of the board width. The laminations are arranged across the width of the board. The laminations are glued together. The board has glue lines between adjacent laminations at positions across the width of the board, the glue lines being substantially parallel to the length of the board. At least one the lamination is substantially thicker than other the laminations, the at least one thicker lamination being arranged within the board so that the glue lines are not present in the at least one clearly visible portion of the profile.
