Zusammenfassung:A fixation assembly (100) is described comprising at least two plates (10, 60), one of which may be a contoured plate (10) and one of which may be a securing plate (60). The contoured plate may have a plurality of teeth (50b, 52b), and the securing plate may have a resilient securing element (74). The teeth may be arranged so that the resilient securing element encounters progressive resistance as the plates are compressed by having the teeth in plural rows of increasing distance in a transverse extent.
