Objectionable material discovery tool

A forensic discovery tool which automates the identification and cataloguing of illegal and/or prohibited files is disclosed. The forensic discovery tool calculates the hash value of locally stored computer files and compares them to hash values of illegal and/or prohibited files or safe files that are held in the local content hash database.
