Zusammenfassung:	A voice prosthesis comprises a soft, elastomeric body having a channel extending from a tracheal end and an esophageal end, a cylindrical recess formed in an internal surface of the channel of the prosthesis body and a cartridge-valve assembly removably received in the recess of the channel of the prosthesis body. The cartridge-valve assembly comprises a rigid cartridge element and an elastomeric valve element, wherein the rigid cartridge element has an outer surface having a receiving groove. The valve element comprises a valve portion having an outer edge, an outer circular mounting band having a diameter and having an inner surface and a hinge segment connecting the outer edge of the valve to the inner surface of the mounting band. The receiving groove removably seats the outer band of the valve element in the receiving groove of the cartridge element.
