Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition obtained from green or mature fruits of Roystonea regia, which contains a mixture of primary fatty acids with 8 to 28 carbon atoms, including the following fatty acids: lauric (C12:0), miristic (C14:0), palmitic (16:0), palmitoleic (C16:1), stearic (C18:0) and oleic (C18:1) (including linoleic and linolenic acids), as well as a mixture of the esters of such fatty acids which have been enriched by ester hydrolysis. The composition is useful for the treatment and/or prevention of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, alopecia and hirsutism.
