Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a method for neutralising an ecotoxicant comprising the steps of mixing an exotoxicant with at least one amino acid, stirring and heating the ecotoxicant and amino acid mixture for a period of time sufficient to neutralise the toxicity of the ecotoxicant, neutralising the mixture to a pH appropriate for biodegradation and biodegrading the mixture to form a neutralised biomass and waste water. Specifically the mixture is stirred at a temperature between 10 and 95ºC for a period of not less than 30 minutes.
