Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a foodstuff comprising a first food material and a second food material wherein the first food material is coated with a composition comprising i) a wax in an amount of 2 to 50 wt. % based on the composition ii) a compound in an amount of 50 to 98 wt. % based on the composition, having the formula (I) wherein t is an integer from 1 to 10; wherein t is an integer from 1 to 10; wherein each R1, R2 and R3 is independently selected from; (a) an optionally branched chain acyl group (a long acyl group) consisting of a saturated chain having 10 to 20 carbon atoms and an optional branch group wherein the optional branch group is a hydrophilic branch group; (b) an acyl group (a short acyl group) having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms; and (c) a hydrogen atom; wherein at least one H or short acyl group is present in the compound; and wherein at least one long acyl group is present in the compound, such that the composition prevents or reduces movement of water from one food material to the other.
