Disclosed is a method of detecting the presence of endometriosis by detection of antibodies that bind to ME-5, ME-2 or EPP2 polypeptides or epitopes thereof. Also disclosed is a method for capturing antibodies that bind abovementioned polypeptides and analysis of said antibodies.
