Method and apparatus for providing price updates automatically from incoming data using triggers and threshholds

An apparatus including computer readable media for providing price updates for at least one item is disclosed. The apparatus comprises computer code for receiving data which is price related; computer code for filtering the received data to identify triggers in the received data; computer code for performing actions related to identified triggers; computer code for performing business rule compliance according to a business rule hierarchy; computer code for providing updated prices including price changes for the at least one item in response to the price related data; computer readable code for defining a plurality of thresholds to identify triggers; computer readable code for defining actions related to each trigger of the plurality of triggers; and computer readable code for defining the business rule hierarchy.
