Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed is a method of producing a cloned or genetically modified mammalian non-human embryo comprising: a) providing two or more cooled post-mortem tissue samples from two or more different animals; b) screening the samples for pre-selected physical, genetic and/or phenotypic criteria; c) transferring DNA from one or more donor cells derived from one or more of the animals to an oocyte to form a nuclear transfer unit; and d) culturing said nuclear transfer unit to establish said embryo. Also disclosed are embryos produced by the above method and the use of the above method to improve the characteristics of a herd. |
