Zusammenfassung:	A threaded fastener (1) is disclosed which comprises a shank portion (12), a head portion (14) formed upon a first end of the shank portion (12), a tip portion (16) formed upon a second opposite end of the shank portion (12), a substantially continuous single helical thread (22) formed upon the shank portion (12), wherein the thread (24) has a crest portion, an upper flank surface (26) and a lower flank surface (28), the included angle defined between the upper flank (26) and lower flank surfaces (28) being within the range of 30-50°, and a plurality of substantially contiguous cutting teeth (30) formed on the peripheral edge portion of the crest portion of the substantially continuous single helical thread (22).
