A computer implemented method of managing a persistent collection of objects for a customer comprises:- (a) Storing an identification of the customer; (b) Receiving a description in media of an object from the customer; (c) Identifying a domain of the object from elements of the description; (d) Identifying elements of the description that are relevant to identifying a unique object in the domain; (e) Generating a structured description of the unique object, the generation comprises adding the relevant elements of the description of the object and adding associated information from external sources to the structured description, where some of the associated information comprises links to actions on the unique object; (f) Adding the unique object to the persistent collection of objects; (g) Allowing the customer to retrieve and browse the collection; (h) Allowing the customer to select a structured description of the object from the collection; (i) Rendering the structured description on an iterative device; and (j) Allowing the customer to take the actions on the unique object via the interactive device, wherein the actions comprise an option to purchase a product.
