Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed herein are infant dietary supplements containing L-aspartic and/or L-malic acid. The supplements are designed to inhibit beta-glucuronidase activity in breast-feeding babies, and thereby suppress serum bilirubin levels and the incidence of neonate jaundice. In one form L-aspartic acid or L-malic acid are mixed with human breast milk and fed to the neonate on the same schedule that breast feeding would otherwise normally occur. The acids may also be mixed with fruit or vegetable juice, and additional amino acids may also be added, provided they do not stimulate beta-glucuronidase activity under standard test conditions.
