Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a process for production of a package which consists substantially of plastic film and has means for opening the package without the aid of a tool. The plastic film (10) is supplied from the roll to a cutting station in which cuts (11) are provided in a cycle adapted to the size of the final package, the width of said cuts being smaller than the width of the plastic film, and said cuts pass completely through the thickness of said plastic film. Sealing cover strips (15) which can also be removed are applied in the region of the cuts which they cover completely in each case. The resultant plastic film is subsequently processed further in a known manner to form the final package. The invention also relates to a package which can be subsequently produced.
