Zusammenfassung:	An underwater trailing antenna is proposed, that consists of a trailing line 10 comprising several sections 101, each having an elastic tubular sheath 16 and containing a number of hydrophones 15 located centrally therein and spaced a fixed longitudinal distance apart. To achieve a small diameter of the trailing line and hence a low volume and weight thereof while preserving good acoustic properties, the sheath 16 is made of polyethylene with a specific density lower than 1 g/cm 3 and is completely filled with a gel 18 that encloses the hydrophones (15) directly, the gel 18 having a specific density also lower than 1 g/cm 3 .
