Zusammenfassung:	A firing machine has an inertialess and contactless measuring device (8, 3, 9) which detects the deflection of the barrel (1) of a gun. By an electronic evaluation of the mirror deflection by means of a PIN photodiode (9) and the indication of the z and h values on a display (6), the device can be adjusted manually to its desired value by an observer (B) with the aid of mechanical adjusting members (4, 5). This firing machine serves for the adjustment and firing of small-calibre weapons in particular and has system errors which are many orders of magnitude smaller than those of the known devices. The hit patterns achieved thereby represent direct evidence of the firing behaviour of a gun and make it possible to adjust it accurately.
