The present invention is connected with the techniques used in engineering works and relates to the holding-down clamp which is intended for use preferably in machine tools and pressing tools, such as CNC machines and tools for plastic and eccentric presses, and for clamping a workpiece on a work support. The holding-down clamp is rotatably connected about an axis of rotation to an inner ball-bearing device by means of a shaft journal and serves to be tightened against a free surface of the workpiece on the work support by turning a clamping nut which is attached to one end of a screw device which extends through the ball-bearing device and the second end of which is fastened to the work base plate.
