Zusammenfassung:Fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av svoveltrioksyd etter katalysatorfremgangsmåten under anvendelse av hvirvelsjiktteknikk, hvor SO-,-holdige gasser med en temperatur på ca. 20-700°C og et innhold på inntil 6 6,7% svoveldioksyd, omsettes i et ltrinns hvirvelsjikt av katalysatormateriale med oksygenholdige gasser til over 90% til svoveltrioksyd, de SO-j-holdige reaksjonsgasser tilføres en mellomabsorbsjon og de for svoveltrioksyd befridde gasser omsettes videre i en 1- eller 2-trinns katalysator, idet høyden av 1-trinns hvirvelsjiktet i fluidisert tilstand utgjør ca. 0,1-2 m, den midlere kornstørrelse av katalysatormassen mellom ca. 0,4-2 mm, gasshastigheten i det tomme reaktorrom ca. 0,1-0,6 msek., gasshastigheten etter til-strømningsbunnen før berring med katalysatorkornene mindre/lik 9 msek.,og katalysatormassen termostatiseres over varmeutvekslere. 1.
