Zusammenfassung: | The lock for a bicycle wheel can be fixed without the use of tools. The housing of the lock (10) has a shape of an incomplete circle consisting of a hollow torus (20) in which the sliding core (22) operates driven by a lock mechanism. The torus is made from a plate assembly, with individual plates (12, 16, 18) attached to each other by spot welds. All three plates have rim parts facing the gap (14) of the frame housing. On the extended parts are rivet assemblies (38). The lock housing fits with its upper end (56) into a groove (54) of the extended end of the base plate (12) which is permanently welded onto the rear fork of the bicycle. The base plate has inwards-orientated rim extensions similar to those on the housing with holes (58) to take up the shaft of the rivets which have longitudinal slots. The fixing onto the base plate is carried out by pushing a pin into the hollow of the rivets expanding the shaft. |
