The apparatus may include one or more measure electrodes for imparting electric current into a formation, a current meter, at least one current return electrode, a controller, and a biasing element. The method includes adjusting a phase angle difference between the current leaving the measure electrode and a biasing signal applied to the biasing element from a second power source to reduce the current leakage of the apparatus.
